MOTION

STOCKHOLM

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Purpose: Awareness | Duration: 4 weeks (2025) | Software: Photoshop, Blender

Stockholm was a rough animation exploring the psychological effects of bullying through metaphor and transformation. It followed a boy consumed by a growing cocoon, a symbol of isolation and depression, that ultimately hinted at metamorphosis and rebirth.

Backed by extensive research on the emotional and psychological impacts of bullying, the project drew from studies such as StopBullying.gov, UNICEF’s peer violence reports, and the Journal of Adolescent Mental Health. These insights shaped the story’s visual symbolism, grounding its abstract narrative in real psychological truths while also highlighting the silent struggles many students face beneath the surface. The project aimed to create awareness and empathy through a resonant medium.

PROCESS

The process began with storyboarding to visualize each scene and establish the emotional tone of the narrative. Once finalized, we created the individual shapes, and miniature models that brought the story to life.

Each element was crafted by hand to reflect the contrasting moods of joy and hardship. Finally, we shot the animation frame by frame, experimenting with compositions, transitions to create a smooth, expressive flow that delivered a meaningful message.

DELIVERABLE

The final deliverable took shape as a rough animation exploring the fragile boundary between destruction and transformation. Through fragmented motion and shifting forms, it reflected the protagonist’s descent into darkness and gradual emergence into something unrecognizable yet renewed.
