This After Effects test was a modern visual interpretation of the poem Darkness, reimagining its descriptions of a world swallowed by shadow, people abandoning their work, fires burning out, thrones left cold, and humanity slipping into quiet despair.

As one of my earliest explorations in After Effects, it became less about perfection and more about discovery: translating poetic imagery into motion, experimenting with mood and pacing, and learning how visual tone can carry a narrative. I also explored background narration, timing the dialogue and syncing it to the visuals, to understand how sound and motion shape atmosphere together.
